Clicking the image takes you back to Getty&#8217;s site where you can purchase the image for commercial use.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m testing it here.\u00a0 It appears I can edit the embed code to change the size of the image. No need to calculate the proportions too carefully, it doesn&#8217;t seem to distort no matter what you do.\u00a0 Appears it takes the lowest value (width or height) and scales the image to that even if the other dimension is wildly out of range.<\/p>\n<p>Original embed code is h=407 x w=507 pixels<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/embed.gettyimages.com\/embed\/155921643?et=P51STuqnukiqlumRw_FfRg&amp;sig=2fX1GjUGp73ZzkOr9x3x98G4JK4imp8LpL-CzcCVipA=\" height=\"407\" width=\"507\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the same image set to a carefully calculated 75% size of h=305 x w=380<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/embed.gettyimages.com\/embed\/155921643?et=yTMY5w-W-kmZdadAqHse_Q&amp;sig=8TpbwGjLT0w-lZWgwGDpyJTLGm3GOv5-lJtO776gcDc=\" height=\"305\" width=\"380\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Here it is set to h=200 x w=1200 &#8211; notice that it still stays perfectly proportioned<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/embed.gettyimages.com\/embed\/155921643?et=8jkvOKpkyku4Qqmb3FPOIA&amp;sig=LdgWH1TDm25zfgm3s-cmgsvnlN_2pVIgYI5Wbcg-fAQ=\" height=\"200\" width=\"1200\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Oh, guess what.\u00a0 I just discovered I could drag to resize the image.\u00a0 Grab the placeholder by the corner handles; the code adjusts itself.\u00a0 This one started as the default w=507 x h=407, but dragging\u00a0 changed the values to a thumbnail-sized w=127 x h=100.\u00a0 Kind of scrambles the image credits, though. Besides this looks smaller than 100 pixels high.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/embed.gettyimages.com\/embed\/155921643?et=8jkvOKpkyku4Qqmb3FPOIA&amp;sig=LdgWH1TDm25zfgm3s-cmgsvnlN_2pVIgYI5Wbcg-fAQ=\" height=\"100\" width=\"127\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Hmmm, I wonder why WordPress changes the code so height comes before width, when Getty&#8217;s original has width first.<\/p>\n<p>One drawback is that word-wrap is gone. So is the Left, Centre, Right image-placement option.\u00a0 In a comment on The Verge article, &#8220;jomamma&#8221; said you could edit the WordPress CSS to bring back word-wrap.\u00a0 Maybe.\u00a0 It&#8217;s beyond me for now.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lisa Lane Diigo-ed The Verge article about Getty Images&#8217;s new free embed licence.
