Stuck in the same old JetDirect card and kept on as though nothing happened &#8211; until last week.\u00a0 I had to power cycle it several days ago to get it back up and running.\u00a0 Sunday morning it was off-line again even though the LAN port LED\u2019s were lit up.\u00a0 I power cycled again, and this time I pulled out and re-inserted the card.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Configuration page told me the EIO slot was empty. \u00a0I was pretty sure it was the end of the line for my faithful old printer.\u00a0 Good thing I hadn&#8217;t spent money on a new toner cartridge.\u00a0 Before giving up entirely, I decided to check if the fine bots at Google could connect me to someone smarter than I am.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_354\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-354\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-354\" title=\"bezel\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wayupnorth.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/bezel-300x261.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"261\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wayupnorth.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/bezel-300x261.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.wayupnorth.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/bezel-150x130.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.wayupnorth.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/bezel.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-354\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Step 2<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I thought it had to be a prank when I first read the magic cure <a title=\"fixyourown\" href=\"http:\/\/www.fixyourownprinter.com\/forums\/laser\/51585\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>. Bake the card?
