Well, first there\u2019s a big bang as they are ejected to the farthest reaches of the Twitter\/FB\/G+ multiverse.\u00a0 Then, as gravitational attraction overcomes the energy of expansion, entropy begins to slow and then reverse the direction of the particles.\u00a0 Very rapidly (in far less time than it took me to dream up this analogy) they coalesce and implode on <a title=\"FUZE\" href=\"http:\/\/www.fuzemeeting.com\/web-conferencing\" target=\"_blank\">Fuze <\/a>and a new supernova is born. \u00a0(Dare we name this new stellar object \u201cMOOWe\u201d for Massive Open Online Webinar?)<\/p>\n<p>Never mind that the presentation wasn\u2019t the most riveting example of engaging interaction we\u2019ve ever seen.\u00a0 Hey, at 1:00 AM I\u2019d want to read my presentation too.\u00a0 The fact is,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>WE DID IT!<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We weren\u2019t stuck out in the void.\u00a0 We tapped our alphabet soup of connections &#8211; PLE\/PLN\/VLE\/PKM whatever &#8211;\u00a0 and reconvened almost as fast as you can say \u201cWinnipeg sucks, let\u2019s go to Timbuktu.\u201d\u00a0 And because most of us had pre-read the materials for the presentation, we could pay attention to tackling the audio problem in a half-dozen creative ways on the backchannel.\u00a0 I sure enjoyed the ride.\u00a0 Kept explaining the rush I got to all my puzzled non-MOOC-ing friends the rest of the day.\u00a0 Gotta be some rich deposits there for the researchers to moil through as they analyze what the internet rats without cages did this morning.\u00a0 (Hey, that sounds like a name for a Google group, a MOOC, and a Gospel bluegrass band, &#8220;Rats-Without-Cages&#8221;.\u00a0 Maybe even a new educational NGO.)<\/p>\n<p>OK, for those of you who haven\u2019t a clue what I\u2019m talking about, I\u2019m sure there are plenty of other #change11 blogs that render a more rational account.\u00a0 Check it out and see what happened in our very first live session of <a title=\"Change MOOC\" href=\"http:\/\/change.mooc.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">Change: Education, Learning, and Technology<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What happens when 63 eager MOOCers get kicked out of BigBlueButton on their individual derri\u00e8res?
