Stephen Downs is offering an <a href=\"https:\/\/ethics.mooc.ca\/\">Analytics MOOC<\/a> bracketed by <strong>ethics<\/strong>, and <strong>duty of care <\/strong>in the title. That\u2019s enough to draw me in.  And of course, the fact that it is Stephen Downs, who co-facilitated my very first cMOOC (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/54331051@N05\/5073523722\/in\/dateposted-public\/\">PENK 2010<\/a>), is also a big draw to me. I had a bit of a fanboy moment with Stephen in Toronto at the ICDE World Conference in 2017 when I finally met one of my cMOOC heroes in person. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shout out to Matthias Melcher for his <a href=\"https:\/\/x28newblog.wordpress.com\/2021\/10\/04\/ethics21-hello\/\">X28&#8217;s blog post<\/a> that alerted me to this opportunity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So over the next couple of months I\u2019ll be muttering my developing thoughts about the justaposition of ethics and analytics into blog posts here, mostly dictating into Google Docs as I mull over what I&#8217;m learning from others. It won\u2019t be anything too organized, but it\u2019s my way of participating. Maybe I\u2019ll even figure out how to dictate new posts directly into the WordPress app on my phone.  I think I&#8217;ll also sign up for the <a href=\"https:\/\/mailchi.mp\/dc6767673f59\/ethics-analytics-and-the-duty-of-care\">newsletter on mailchimp<\/a>, since I&#8217;m a bit lazy about chasing down an RSS feed harvester.
