The Program for Online Teaching Certificate (affectionately titled potcert*) officially started yesterday. And I played hookey. I can’t regret it. On one of the last warm days of our short, northern summer, it would have been sheer ungratefulness to stay inside hunched over a computer. *I must have a strange mind, distracted by the most mundane connections. I keep musing over the consequences if unwary facilitators had chosen to tag this sMOOC “POT” instead of “POTCERT” in recognition of the fact that not everyone is after the CERTificate.

For me PotCert is really better, or SMOOC (But Small and Medium Open Online Classe) as Lisa said. As I understand, for me, a MOOC is much less, and here I found a really human comunity, and really worried about what we learn, that I don´t think you can find in a Massive OOC.

Oh boy. I can’t believe that, after creating both terms (SMOOC and POT) that I never thought to put them together!
